Dedra (Aset Nebet Jumapili Ankh) feels privileged to have been taught and apprenticed under the tutelage of Joan White for 2 years of Iyengar Yoga. She also has knowledge and experience with Bikram's Yoga. Dedra, an ordained minister with the M'Backe House of Hope, became interested in yoga in 1983 and began to pursue it passionately over the next decade. In the year 2000, she went into training to become an instructor. As a result, she has worked as a personal trainer in basic yoga, and has also led yoga classes at retreats and workshops. She is now a certified yoga instructor. Her yoga experience has branched out to include Kemetic or ancient Egyptian yoga studying with Master instructor, Yirser Ra Hotep.
Her work as a spiritual counselor with the African Rites of Passage and her ministry with the M'Backe House of Hope, both non-profit community service organizations, have led her to a rewarding life of bringing healing, spiritual growth, empowerment and a sense of pride and well being to children and adults.
Dedra is the Founder of Locks for Life, Flow N Yoga and Live - N - Yoga, all self-help organizations which help individuals, in various ways, to rebuild positive consciousness in their quest for spiritual evolution. This is presented through workshops, retreats, conferences and seminars.
In 1997, she joined Heaven on Earth, an organization which focuses on the spiritual aspects of working with the sekere-a combination gourd hand drum and festive, beaded shaker or rattle.

SISTERS REACHING OUT FOR HEALING AND SPIRITUAL TRANSITION AND TRANSFORMATION
The Art of Healing for Sisters in Transition is a system created to nurture and develop spiritual living. For the past 13 years, I have studied the many aspects of the art of healing and have attained a high level of understanding through yoga, fasting, study and living the Universal Principles which teach us that our thoughts and actions form our life experiences.
In 2001, I was ordained a minister of the M'Backe House of Hope, a non-profit community service organization which has led me to a rewarding life of bringing healing, spiritual growth, empowerment and a sense of pride and well being to the communities of Wilmington, DE.
I offer ministry services for others who facilitate and coordinate weekend retreats for spiritual development programs of their own. My experience in facilitating and coordinating retreats in Maryland, the Poconos and Jamaica, West Indies have enhanced my abilities to successfully guide clients through each system to fit the individual needs of their clients.
These services are presented from its new base facility located at 29th and Market Streets in Wilmington, Delaware. The organization offers ongoing workshops, weekly courses offering spiritual development, body stretching, and massage.
